Fresh salsa recipe – Pico de Gallo Salsa
This delicious Salsa Recipe was Contributed by Karen Walters, USA.
- 4 pounds plum (Italian) tomatoes
- 1 bunch cilantro (Coriander)
- 1 large white onion
- 2-4 jalapeno peppers (alter for heat, if little to no heat in salsa is wanted, substitute 1 green bell pepper)
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1-2 limes (juice)
- Salt to taste
Chop up tomatoes, onions and peppers. Mix together in large plastic or glass bowl.
Chop up cilantro (Coriander) add to bowl.
Cut up avocados (scoring into squares) and add to bowl.
Roll and juice the limes over the bowl.
Mix all ingredients well. Add salt to taste.
Serve with Tortilla chips or Tostada chips.
